We've bought a cabin in the woods! After much back and forth, our first foray into home buying landed us a 2 bedroom, 2 bath a-frame on six acres in the mountains of West Virginia. The cabin and the quiet it provides has become such an unexpected treat for us both ... way more than we ever expected. The stresses of the daily grind seem to be put on hold when we're here and after a long week of work, we've really starting craving the solace the cabin provides.
So now, we spend weekends here, as work or other travel plans allow. We've got lots of projects to work on, both inside and out, and we've set up this blog to share our progress with friends and family. Bonus: hopefully a lot of the stuff we're learning along the way will save others some time and money, sharing in our (mis)adventures.
